  • Aromatherapy

    Essential oils are used to help improve the physical and emotional well-being, by being absorbed into the system through massage and by inhaling the fragrance. Carefull selected blends of oils are used, to meet the needs of the individual, to help alleviate or prevent various conditions. This gentle and relaxing treatlment is especially beneficial for relieving the symptoms of arthritis, fluid retention, muscular aches and insomnia. It's a complete sensory experience.

  • Hot Stone Massage

    A deeply relaxing treatment which is very popular in health spa resorts. Combined with classic massage techniques hot volcanic stones are placed on the body. The massage with hot stones penetrates the tissues deeper than traditional massage, which enhances the circulatory benefits and detoxifying effect. Hot stone massage is deeply relaxing. Hot stones are used on the body from the forehead to the toes - giving a deep massage, creating a sensation of warmth and comfort.

  • Indian Face Massage

    Often described as the "Natural Face Lift Massage" this is one of our favourites. The stressful effect of our lives, thoughts and emotions can become etched on our face resulting in premature ageing and wrinkling of the skin. Face massage as a treatment dates back some 4000 years in India. The Indians used this form of massage incorporated within the ancient healing art of Ayurveda. Yoga Masters too have long recognised that tension of the face, particularly eyes, mouth and jaw, prevent relaxation of the mind. This relaxing massage brings the mind to a relaxed, meditative state... Today this massage is complemented by the addition of Reiki, and work on Reflexolgy and Acupressure points.   • Indian Head Massage

    A destressing programme for the whole body by treating the areas most vulnerable to stress and tension. Practiced in India for over a thousand years, IHM incorporates massage of the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, head and face. It can be performed with the seated client fully clothed or on exposed upper back and shoulders with oils. It has a deeply relaxing and refreshing effect and can help with stress and tension, neck and shoulder discomfort, headaches and eyestrain. It relieves mental fatigue, improves concentration, skin and hair condition and the quality of sleep.

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage

    Manual Lymphatic Drainage was developed in Europe in the 1930's by Dr Emil Vodder and his wife Estrid. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a safe, effective, yet gentle skin movement technique which drains away excess fluids from the tissues; it also has a detoxifying effect, removing waste that gathers in the lymph system. MLD can benefit the healthy person as well as those suffering from a variety of medical conditions including post mastectomy lymphoedema, post hysterectomy lymphoedema and post surgical swelling. Musculo-skeletal conditions, migraine, tension headaches, carpel tunnel sydrome, Primary Lymphoedema and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME

  • Pregnancy Massage

    Pregnancy is a time of many physical and emotional changes, and a time when women become more aware of their bodies and the amazing process they are performing in creating a new life. However, these changes can also put a lot of strain on the mother. Pregnancy massage can help to relieve problems such as backache, pelvic strains and heavy or tired legs. Treatments are carried out with the client on their side, using a special 'Body Support' cushion system, which allows the mum-to-be to be truly comfortable and fully supported throughout the treatment. Using a combination of Massage and Shiatsu based techniques as well as light lymphatic drainage, the mum not only gets a proper massage treatment, but also exercises and techniques as part of her preparation for birth. The treatment can be focused on relieving specific areas of pain or stiffness and/or a gentle and relaxing massage to nurture the mum to be.

  • MassageBirth Partner Workshop

    Birth Partners can be involved by attending a couples ‘Birth Partner Workshop’, where basic massage techniques for use at home and during birth are taught. This is a great way for dads to bond with the bump and gain confidence in their role during the birth. During these sessions, we look at techniques and how/when they might be used both before and during labour. Each session would be tailored to the couples’ needs, but could include – general massage techniques, some appropriate shiatsu focus points, deep sacrum release, abdomen massage (great for bonding), and positions for childbirth

  • Reflexology

    An ancient therapy which uses pressure point massage on the feet which correspond with specific areas of the body. It aims to restore the flow of energy around the body promoting relaxation, improved circulation and a sense of well-being and balance. A relaxed and balanced individual is a healthier individual. This therapy can provide many benefits such as relief from digestive problems, allergies and back pain to name but a few. Many believe it can also be effective in the treatment of those experiencing difficulty with fertility. Don't worry about tickly feet; it is quite a firm pressure.

  • Reiki

    Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing art that was rediscovered in the 19th century. It works to dissolve energy blocks that appear when we are not in full health and balances Chi or life energies. (The word Reiki translates as Life Force Energy). By dissolving these blocks, Reiki will help the energy to flow freely and the individual to experience good health and inner harmony by promoting the body's own natural healing processes. This healing art is non-invasive (client is fully clothed throughout) and will work with many ailments that are physical, mental, emotional or spiritual in nature.

  • Shiatsu

    Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing Japanese therapy, using gentle holding, acupressure techniques, subtle/dynamic stretches/rotations, with the client fully clothed on a futon or seated. Shiatsu restores and balances the flow of energy (ki) in the meridians and body's energetic system. Shiatsu helps ease tension/stifness, relax mind and body, improve breathing and circulation, and enhances the well-being of the whole person. Shiatsu can help with emotional and physical problems inculding stress, anxiety, depression, back pain, insomnia, headaches/migraines, digestive problems, joint pain, reduced mobility and many more. Shiatsu provides support for women's health - menstrual/PMS, fertility, phases of pregnancy, menopause and beyond.
