Mairi Maclean Linton

Nutrition Consultancy & Dietary Analysis
Mairi studied nutrition at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and qualified with a BSc (Hons) Nutrition and is registered with the Association for Nutrition. Mairi became interested in nutrition a number of years ago when family members experienced health problems. It was the benefits which were obtained through making changes to their diet which inspired Mairi to become a nutritionist.
Diet can have a profound affect on how we look, feel and our body systems function, but this is often overlooked and we accept the fact that we will just have to learn to live with it, but we shouldn’t have to. Symptoms within the body can indicate that the body is out of synch and left unchecked may lead to more serious complications. Analysis of your diet can reveal any deficiencies, low or high intakes and provide you with a personal plan outlining suggested dietary sources to help you overcome any nutritional imbalances, taking into consideration your likes and dislikes and lifestyle.
Mairi is passionate about how important consuming a nutritious diet is for improving health and preventing a variety of dietary related conditions. Whether you are looking to make some changes to your diet or your family’s diet to enhance your health and wellbeing, improve your weight, help alleviate any symptoms, food intolerances or allergies or looking to start a family, Mairi can provide you with the support and guidance to help you to implement any dietary changes to allow you to maintain a healthier life.

As a Massage Therapist my aim is to help you feel better whether you are sore, stiff or stressed.
Using a combination of my various therapy skills allows you to receive the treatment that you need whether it is for injury recovery, a long-standing problem such as RSI or backache, or if you just need some ‘time out’ for yourself.
Specialist pregnancy treatments mean that if you are a mum-to-be you can be safely treated throughout your pregnancy for your specific discomforts. Or why not bring your partner along to learn some useful techniques to support you at home or during the early stages of labour.
Jennifer Syme has Diplomas in Swedish Massage, Remedial & Sports Massage and Myofascial Release as well as a specialist Diploma in Massage for Pregnancy. She is a full member of the SMTO (the professional body for massage in Scotland) and the CNHC (regulatory body for therapies).
Before becoming a Massage Therapist, Jennifer worked in the corporate world as a computer programmer. This means that she understands the pressures of deadlines, commuting and finding that elusive work-life balance as well as problems associated with sitting at a PC all day such as RSI and backache. She has herself experienced the benefits of massage on her health and fitness for several years.

Claire McGarrie (BSc Hons) Medical Herbalist/Healer

Hello there, I have been a consultant Medical Herbalist since 2007. Graduating from the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine I use a combination of herbs and nutrition and lifestyle advice to bring about healing. I have also undertaken further training in NLP counselling which I have found find to be an invaluable tool in my consultations. Up until my maternity leave last year I was also training in Hands-on Energy Healing. For two years I worked as a healer on popular shamanic healing retreats run by my teacher in Devon. This work was personally transformative as well as really augmenting my work as a herbalist.
As far as my herbal practice is concerned, I aim to offer people truly holistic treatment, working to nurture the whole person - mind, body and spirit. My training in energy healing has convinced me how interconnected these are and how, in order to make a full recovery, we must address the problem or disease in the physical, mental and energy bodies.
Certainly, herbs are wonderful tools because they do indeed work on all three levels bringing about healing in obvious yet profound and subtle ways.
My website currently being renovated, but please feel free to email me at
