You will need to bring or borrow a frame drum. ( I have some to lend)
A friendly class which has run in different guises for 4 years now. This year the subject is ceremony and rites of passage.
Each month will have a special subject of focus for ceremony. The focus will correlate with the time of year.
We will learn about the importance of creating safe and powerful containers in our life for powerful healing projects. We will look at form and formlessness and study healing with spiritual light. We will also see how the seasons of the year have their times for optimum healing and work with this.
These rites of passage through 2013 will offer you opportunities for further study through each month. You may attend these classes as drop in classes or choose to commit to a year of potentially deep healing and transformation.

 Birth Preparation Workshop for Pregnant Women & their Birthing Partners
Saturday 1st June 10am-1.30pm

  A one-off birth preparation session for the expectant mother and birth partner designed to prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for birth. With a little theory and plenty of opportunity to practice yoga tools and techniques for all stages of labour; you learn to facilitate your body doing what it is designed to do. Increase confidence and trust in your body to birth your baby well.

In this session we cover pre-labour, the first contractions to the first hold of your baby...

•    Learn about the hormones of labour and how to create the inner and outer environment  to optimise these
•    Optimal Foetal Positioning and maternal posture in late pregnancy
•    Build your personal Birth Plan
•    Your Birth Partner will learn their invaluable support role , including simple massage techniques

' Youth Quest '

You will need to bring or borrow a frame drum or rattles. ( I have plenty to lend)
A group to have fun and direct your life! We learn how shamanic journey. We work with circle, sharing and 'counsel.' You will explore different drumming circle ideas through the year to uncover the 'Quest'. I have no idea what the Quest will be. I have no idea what your emerging generation is here to do. I have simply been called to hold a special space to help you find this out for yourselves and teach you practices which will support you on your adventure!
 

It is also a space for bringing healing to any issues which are in the circle. You will learn a lot. I will teach different healing techniques for you to use. We will look at environmental issues and see how Shamanism can support healing of our planet and selves. You might also feel that what you learn here you have always known.

to be held in Scotland

A diploma course for qualified yoga teachers who wish to study, practice and teach in the tradition of the great yogi, Professor Krishnamacharya and his son, TKV Desikachar.
This unique approach integrates practical teachings about asana, pranayama, use of sound and meditative techniques, with the teachings of the Yoga Sutra and other texts.  Above all, it emphasises the importance of adapting yoga to the individual.  A large part of the course will be about the art of teaching individuals, and the yoga of healing.

Trance Dances 2013

A beautiful ceremonial space for bringing in the blessings of the new seasons and their element. Aim: to allow the best flow and healing for the season! Trance dances are used by many cultures as a venue for releasing old stories and setting intentions for the new phase. They allow the dancer to journey deep into the dream and uncover some powerful healing potentials.

Trance dancing was my main form of healing and exploration when I first began to properly engage with Shamanism many years ago. I found it incredibly freeing and deep with visions and understandings.

To attend these Trance dances you will need to dress in layers. Costume is very welcome. A drum or rattle will be needed for each participant. I have plenty to share, but bring your own drum if you have one. They'll love it!

event is excellent for all personality types. The main thing is that you allow yourself to authentically be you and whatever is moving through you at the time. There will be thorough tuition points at the beginning and a relaxing and consolidating completion to the evening.

Yoga for Pregnancy
Anahata  School of Yoga Teacher Training Module

 at Synergy Yoga & Therapy Centre, Glenrothes, Fife
For most women pregnancy and birth can and should be a natural experience where a women feels confident and empowered to give birth instinctively. Attending specialist pregnancy yoga classes helps a woman to rediscover her inner power, intuition, and trust in her own body wisdom, bringing confidence in her body's ability to give birth.

 This teacher training module is designed to prepare you to confidently teach safe yoga practices of asana, pranayama and meditation appropriate to the three trimesters of pregnancy. The course will run over 3 weekends offering a total of 42 contact teaching hours plus home study.

Pre-requisite Training
Participants must hold a minimum 200hrs Yoga Teaching Diploma.
